Tidbits

1. DivDigital Prefers PDF
PDF is the best format to assure we print what you want. If you have Acrobat Distiller use it to distill your files. If you do not have it, we may be able to convert your files for an additional charge.

2. Resolution (DPI/LPI)
DPI stands for (dots per inch) and LPI stands for (lines per inch). These two terms have different meanings, but almost the same result. If you have a picture/scan within your layout/graphic program, remember that the resolution (DPI/LPI) must be correct. For a good quality image to print properly, the DPI AT THE PRINTED SIZE needs to be at least 300.

3. Bleed
Extra image that extends beyond the edge of the page. Any time an image or a color is printed to the edge of a page, the image or color should extend at least 1/8" off the edge so that when the page is trimmed on a mechanical cutter, small variations in the trim will not result in a white line down the edge of the page.

4. Page Size
Your page size must correspond with the paper selected. Example: If you want a finished book that is to be 6” x 9” lay out your pages on 6” x 9” paper with the proper margins to fit. Our imposition software need accurate page sized with no shifting for margins. Center the print within the page.

5. Embedded Files
One file for each product ordered please! We cannot accept files that have been laid out with multiple files/images in one side of a document. Please provide one file for the front and one file for the back for two-sided orders.
